Fabry-Perot Filters |
This type of filter transmits a narrow band of wavelengths and rejects
wavelengths outside of that band. An interesting feature of this type of
filter is its ability to "select" a different peak wavelength as the
filter is tilted. The movie shown below illustrates how a wavelength from
500 to 550 nm can be selected as the filter is tilted from 60 to 0 degrees.
QuickTime movie (32K) This movie was created from 25 TFCalc plots. The Macintosh version of TFCalc has the capability of creating a movie whenever a coating is analyzed at wavelengths and angles simultaneously. Click here for more information. In TFCalc 3.5, the Windows version of TFCalc acquired the capability of creating animations. There are a number of animations on this website. |
